Unravel the Mystery of Scoliosis & Spinal Abnormalities
This enlightening workshop is focusing on the spine, emphasizing the understanding of the more mysterious lateral deviations or scoliosis of the spine. This in-depth journey will clarify any doubts or hesitations in the application of Pilates work to benefit clients who suffer from scoliosis. The hands-on nature of this workshop emphasizes simplicity, clarity and safety. The work will also address: protocol suggested for the Harrington Rod population. The use of repertoire including Pilates equipment will enrich your teaching vocabulary, lift your confidence and optimize your expertise.
Objectives:
- Gain confidence in the application of Pilates movement repertoire with Scoliotic clientele.
- To gain a deeper understanding of strategies of spinal rotations.
- To integrate Pilates exercise protocol by the use of the traditional repertoire and modifications thereof.
- To apply and customize Pilates repertoire to meet the Scoliosis client’s needs.
- Introduce the specific Scoliosis corrective and directive cueing techniques.
- Learn new approaches and modifications to improve movement balance and spinal mobility.
